Tibetan skins are a natural product and variations in color, texture, length of hair and the amount of curl are to be expected! These are not defects and should be expected!
Variations in the color is something I am very proud of with my dyeing process and this should not be considered a defect. Each piece is hand-dyed individually
for each order by myself making it truly unique and a one-of-a-kind. I try to achieve these highs and lows for a natural look. So.... this means that sometimes the tips of the hairs are slightly darker or a slightly different shade/color than the base hair.
All my Tibetan lamb is hand washed, combed several times to ensure the Highest Quality and is ready to use.
I only buy the Number One Grade (Highest Quality) Tibetan Lamb skins on the market with the least amount of stitching possible.
Directions for coloring the skins/mohair is included Free with every new order. They can also be over-dyed to achieve the perfect shade for your doll or project!
The average length of the hair is between 3 1/2 to 5 inches from the pelt. The length will vary per skin depending on what part of the hide the individual piece was cut from.
Some skins may have longer hair and some shorter hair on the same piece.
Sometimes the hair is curlier and sometimes it's a little straighter depending on the pelt. The skins are a natural product and there will be variations in the hair as each animal is different.
Because the Tibetan lamb skins are a natural product they contain a certain amount of lanolin. This is a normal and natural occurrence. It adds to the sheen and the manageability of the hair making it so popular for artist dolls.
Because of the lanolin each piece will dye differently. I mix all of the colors myself. This also a factor as to why the colors from one batch may be slightly different than the next one. I do try very hard to keep as much consistency as possible.
I do my very best to achieve the same results every time. This however is not a perfect process so slight variations in color may occur with each piece.

The skins are from different animals so the length of the hair as well as the amount of curl will vary per skin.
I buy only the Top Quality #1 Grade Tibetan lamb to provide the very best quality product I can.
I want to make sure the skins are free of tangles after the dyeing process. I do this by combing the hair several times before, during and after dying them. This will cause some straightening of the hair. I do rewet the hair and reset the curl before they are shipped.
If you want to reset the curl in the hair simply rewet the Tibetan lamb-doll hair with a spray bottle using a fine mist spray of regular tap water. Scrunch the hair with your fingers. *Caution should be used when wetting the hair as some discharge of color may occur. This usually happens with the darker color. The dye from the hair can transfer onto your hands and your clothing!
Select skins have little variations in color. They are rich, deep colors.
