Due to the excessive amount of spam we recieve, it has become difficult to insure that we can respond to email. Saying that spam messages are easy to delete is like saying that rain is easy to avoid by just wiping the little raindrops off your forehead! It's a real problem for us. Using the message page above solves most of the problem.

Some people have accused us of keeping "banker's hours" because of the limited phone-in hours. But, as you might guess, this is a very small company. Every employee at the RLT.com family of web sites has more than one job, and sitting around waiting for the phone to ring is not a very efficient use of time, so we have to manage our time in order to keep our prices low.
We only answer the phones in the morning, between 9:00 am and noon, Monday through Thursday, Central Time Zone. Of course, the web site is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, so you can always order products via our secure server in confidence! And we try to respond to all customer emails within 24 hours (M-F).
In the afternoons, everyone is either out in the factory- cutting, drilling, sorting and working with the wood, or we're in the warehouse packing, shipping and doing everything we can to get all orders out the door as fast as possible.
On Fridays, we spend quite a lot of time in the Post Office shipping all our international orders. We also go to local street festivals, spend time in the libraries and universities doing research. Or we're out shopping for new tools and supplies to improve our products, and sometimes just trying to catch up on all the things that can go wrong during the week.
Still, we occasionally find ourselves working late into the night during busy times. And of course, the weekends are for family.
So, while on the surface it may seem like we keep a lackadaisical schedule, it's actually a very full and busy one! Help us grow- buy our products, so we can bring more unique and wonderful items to you and maybe even hire extra help to answer the phones more often!

For mail-in orders by check, money order or purchase order, please use the shopping cart system. It has an option for mailing in your order, and it helps us to avoid mistakes. Just add your items to the shopping cart and click the "Mail us a check" button. The instructions are all there!
