Here you will find a little more information about the Cloth Doll, Art Doll and Fiber Art Patterns I write. Writing cloth doll and fiber art patterns is my passion. I want to share my love of this wonderful art form with as many people as I can. Each pattern workbook is spiral bound so it will lay flat. They are really more like books.... most are between 35-50+ pages in length.
They are copied onto single pages only!
All of my patterns include color photos, detailed diagrams, and/or black and white photo copied images so there is no guess work even if you have never created a complex cloth doll before. I have designed and written my patterns so that you can create a one-of-a-kind cloth art doll with ease!
The directions are clearly written and thorough for all phases of the dolls construction including the construction, coloring, costuming, the bases when applicable and my patterns always include full size pattern pieces.
My workbooks and patterns are detailed because I wanted to take the mystery out of cloth doll construction. How many times have you purchased a pattern only to have no idea what the author is trying to tell you?..... The directions are vague, impossible to understand or worse.... they are missing steps because the author assumes you have done this before? It has been my goal from the beginning to never fall into this trap...
If you are more experienced at doll construction you can easily skip ahead....
Yes my workbooks are more expensive, but they are jam packed with useful information and they help take the frustration out of Cloth Doll Design - Doll Making! These are patterns you will keep... and I have been told time and time again they are worth every penny!!!
I do write and sell folded patterns as well. My folded patterns are also jam packed with diagrams, tips, tricks and contain many pages. They all include a clear color picture and step-by-step directions guiding you through each and every step of the dolls construction. If I don't feel good about a product that carries my name "I won't sell it!"
